CCTV Upgrade
Project Overview
At The Fine Arts Society, a high-footfall cultural campus hosting performances, training programs, and public events, the existing CCTV infrastructure no longer provided adequate coverage or centralized control. Surveillance gaps, aging systems, and limited monitoring visibility restricted operational oversight across multiple active zones.
Design Intent
The goal was to implement a structured, campus-wide surveillance system that ensures complete coverage, centralized monitoring, and long-term reliability—while remaining discreet within performance and public environments.
Solution Approach
Play executed a zonal surveillance strategy designed to address the campus’s diverse functional areas:
- Bullet cameras deployed across parking zones, entry gates, and external passages for long-range outdoor monitoring
- Dome cameras installed across auditoriums, classrooms, offices, dining areas, guest facilities, corridors, and lift lobbies for wide-angle indoor coverage
- Strategic placement across halls, stage zones, seating areas, and circulation paths to ensure crowd monitoring without visual intrusion
- Dedicated surveillance for kitchens, service passages, and operational areas to strengthen activity oversight
- Centralized Network Video Recorders deployed for structured storage, long-duration recording, and simplified playback access
- Organized rack installations across key building locations to maintain structured cabling and ease of maintenance
Deployment was planned in phases to ensure uninterrupted daily activities, with installations coordinated around events and institutional schedules.
Outcome
The upgraded CCTV system now delivers comprehensive, campus-wide visibility across public, operational, and restricted zones. Centralized monitoring enables faster incident review, blind spots have been eliminated across critical circulation areas, and the structured infrastructure supports future scalability.
The Fine Arts Society now operates with enhanced safety oversight while preserving the aesthetic and experiential integrity of its cultural spaces.
